Keuka Lake Taste of Europe Wine Tour - Single Day
Take a walk on the dry side. This tour takes you to three distinctly different, terroir-driven wineries on the east side of Keuka Lake blending old world traditions and winemaking heritage with new world passion and creativity.
First stop France. Not, literally, but Domaine LeSeurre is owned by two multigenerational winemakers from opposite sides of France. While influenced by that rich heritage, they rely on their taste buds and imaginations to craft delicious dry, French-style wines with very unique flavor profiles. Not a Chardonnay lover yet? Try Domaine LeSeurre's unoaked Chardonnay and you might become one.
Next stop, a German-style winery right next door. From the gregarious personalities of its owners, to the historic one-room school house and rustic barn tasting rooms, prepare to be charmed by Weis Vineyards. The wine speaks for itself. And what it says is, wow! Exceptional wines like the Dry Riesling have been turning heads since the winery opened just a few years ago.
Break for lunch at The Switzerland Inn. The Switz, as it's commonly known, has been a popular spot for locals and vacationers for decades. Accessible by boat and car, The Switz is a casual dining option right on the water.
For the grand finale? Ravines, of course. The New York Times called their Riesling the best in the country. Taste for yourself and see what you think. If dry food-friendly wines are your thing, this is a definite highlight of any visit to the region. Featuring French style reds like Pinot, Cab Franc, and the popular Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend Maximilien.
After a day of extraordinary wines, slip back into the village of Hammondsport for a quaint stroll and delicious dinner. During the summer, you can also dine lakeside.
Reservations are required at most tasting rooms. Please contact wineries directly in advance to secure your tasting time.
