On a gorgeous, sunny day there is nothing better than spending time by the lake. Depot Park in Hammondsport offers views of the lake and space to run and play with your family. With a large green space for playing games and swimming in the lake open in the Summertime, this is the perfect spot for a family afternoon.

On the Trails

Take a hike through miles of hiking trails, including the Finger Lakes Trail, at Birdseye Hollow County Park. Picnic facilities are available for a great option to sit down and relax after a trek through the forest. Fish in the pond or run around the playground for added fun. Mossy Bank Park in Bath is a great option with pavilions and a picnic area. Kids will enjoy the playground, while the whole family can enjoy checking out the pond and the hiking trails.

State Parks

Stony Brook State Park boasts hiking trails with beautiful scenery and waterfalls along the paths. The picnic area is outfitted with tables and grills. The playground, natural stream-fed pool, and variety of play fields round out the options for a fun-filled day.
