Fall in Corning and the Southern Finger Lakes is a time of beauty. The leaves are changing to warm vibrant colors. Perhaps one of the most breathtaking fall foliage scenic drives is on the way to the Cohocton Fall Foliage Festival. Happening October 8th and 9th the festival which celebrates and displays the beauty of the Cohocton Valley has been a tradition since 1966. The festival will have arts, crafts, a flea market, antique vendors, and food vendors. There will also be a petting zoo, car show and free horse drawn wagon rides.

The scenery around Keuka Lake is always beautiful, but it is undeniable there is a certain kind of charm when all of the leaves are changing and the air is cool and crisp. On October 1st there will be a fall festival of Bushels & Barrels on the Square from 10 am -5 pm. Enjoy Finger Lakes food, wine and beer tastings. Browse craft and produce vendors, and enjoy live music in the bandstand.

After take a drive up the lake and stop along the way at Heron Hill Winery, one of the ten most spectacular tasting rooms in the world as chosen by Travel + Leisure magazine. Not only does Heron Hill offer picturesque views of the Fall Foliage overlooking their vineyards and Keuka Lake, but be sure to sample their award winning wines when you visit their tasting room. Drive a little further down the road and enjoy a brew with a view at Steuben Brewing Company. Grab your flight of beers, both year-round staples and seasonals', and enjoy it looking out over the lake from the covered patio. Head back down the lake and enjoy dinner at a restaurant on the water.
