Bath VA Medical Center and National Cemetery is located just outside the city of Bath, New York. It has been serving the needs of veterans for over 125 years, has a museum of Military Artifacts, and a National Cemetery that still remains open for burials.
How to Enjoy:
The Bath VA complex is steeped in history, from its beginnings as the New York State Soldiers & Sailors Home. The peacefulness of the campus, the changes of architecture over the years, and those cannons on the commons all take you back in time. The National Cemetery instills a sense of pride and awe at the years of sacrifice from the Civil War until now.

Trivia:
The Medal of Honor is awarded in the name of Congress to an officer or an enlisted person who, in actual conflict with the enemy, distinguishes himself conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life and beyond the call of duty. There are five Medal of Honor recipients interred in Bath, all from the Civil War
