From Waterfalls to Pale Ales Tour
Adventure Pairings: Keuka Outlet Trail & Laurentide Beer Company
Keuka Outlet Trail
If you like to move, but prefer to take in beautiful scenery rather than exerting yourself too much, the Keuka Outlet Trail is a perfect option. It's even great if you have the kids in tow, as it's mostly flat, very well maintained, and excellent for casual walks or bike rides.
The seven mile trail runs between Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake. Start along the Keuka Outlet and follow the path as it zig-zags across town and into the trees, following a stream through the woods and past the ruins of historic mills (this is where you'll find awesome waterfalls).
Like fishing? Bring your gear. Several parking spots along the trail mean you don't have to go far if you don't want to. Sit on one of the benches, listen to the water as it passes by, and take in nature. Or stretch your legs and enjoy scenery, like Turtle Pond where you might catch a glimpse of dozens of turtles sunning themselves in the summer sun.
If you chase waterfalls, but aren't big on hiking, you're in luck as there are small parking areas near the old ruins like Seneca Mills Falls located just .3 miles from the nearest parking area and a great spot for picnicking. So bring a blanket, stop by Seneca Farms to grab a delicious lunch to go, and enjoy a meal and nature.
Hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, also snowmobiling in some spots
Summer and Fall Experiences
Rent a bike, picnic near the waterfalls, hike, fish, even ride your horse in some sections
