Chateau Renaissance Wine Cellars
Chateau Renaissance Wine Cellars - History
Domenic Carisetti and Patrice DeMay are the owners of Château Renaissance as well as longtime friends and veterans among Finger Lakes winemakers. Patrice has a long family history in wine-making, dating back to the 1920s in the Loire Valley of France. Domenic and Patrice designed and built Château Renaissance Wine Cellars in a Normandy/Tuscany style of architecture.
Teaching Wine Making in the Community
The goal behind the start-up of the Finger Lakes winery was to provide training and employment to people with disabilities and to those who were on public assistance. They also formed a teaching partnership with Corning Community College, offering classes in both viticulture (grape-growing) and oenology (wine science).
