America's Crystal City is known for glass. If you haven't tried it before, blowing a glass ornament is as exciting as it is easy. And it's SO easy. Corning makes this unique experience even more out of the ordinary because Hands-on Glass Studio is the one place you can work some glassblowing magic with the woman who actually started the hands-on glass movement in the U.S.

Not too far away, the Rockwell Museum of Western Art brings together the colorful stories and scenes of the old west and contemporary Native American art. But it also brings together generations of people with its fun interactive activities.

Corning's Gaffer District, the first wheelchair-friendly historic district in the state, has over one hundred cool shops and galleries and restaurants, not to mention a chocolate trail and historic tours.

Located about half an hour from Corning are Finger Lakes wineries you'll want to tell your friends about. Whether you like dessert wines, sparkling fruit wines, elegant whites, smooth reds, or dry food-friendly wines, you'll find what you're looking for in and around Hammondsport. But there's beer too, so don't worry if wine's not your thing.

A few of the most popular attractions in the area happen to be waterfalls and hiking trails and Keuka Lake, of course, with some of the most scenic views in upstate New York.
