Arizona has "Pugapalooza", Chicago has the "Pug-Pub-Crawl" & Rochester celebrates "Pug-O-Ween." Now, Corning, NY has joined that prestigious list as they celebrate their 4th Annual Pug Festival entitled:

"SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH PUGS"
Sunday, September 24, 2006 * 12:30 pm to 3 pm *
Corning's Denison Park Pond Pavilion.

Mr. Lewie dePugma & his brother Paulie-Boy invite other PUGS and the people they own to join them in Corning's Denison Park for the area's major fundraiser for PRoCNY. Pug Rescue of Central New York will be on hand with wonderful items and exciting raffles, but most important ... education for owners about Pug maintenance and care.

Locals will recognize Jan from their favorite store PetTracks and look forward to the return of Lisa from LuvPug Greetings. From nutrition to notions, jewelry to scarf sets, these vendors will have every item the pug-lover needs.

After the introduction parade, there will be prizes for the oldest, youngest, best wrinkles and curliest tail. "Silly-Pug-Tricks" is a great way to show off the talent, and as always, there is the Costume Competition!

The "Run for the Cheese Race" has to be the most popular event. Yielding to pug pressure, there will be races for different age groups. Last year, over 150 pugs from Syracuse to Scranton were in attendance. Many have been training all year with hopes of returning to defend their titles. Come to the park and cheer them to victory!
