Elmira, NY August 25, 2006-Join the National Soaring Museum and the Harris Hill community for the 14th Annual Community Soaring Day, Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 10-4. Community Soaring Day is a free annual event for the regional community to become acquainted with The National Soaring Museum, Harris Hill Soaring Center and Harris Hill Amusement Park, as well as our neighbors, Tanglewood and the SPCA.

In honor of the Hubble Telescope Exhibit we will have a special guest, Galileo, a 19th Century Astronomer. He will be available for photos and autographs. The Old Country Buffet Bee will be joining us too. Making a second appearance will be the Adirondack Racing Sled Dog team. You won't want to miss this opportunity to see them. Try your hand at paper airplane making with Dr. Chiang. The "Elmiran" trolley will provide rides to Harris Hill Soaring Center, and Harris Hill Amusement Park. There will be sailplane rides, music, food and more. Admission to the National Soaring Museum is free.

The National Soaring Museum is the largest of only four museums worldwide focused solely on motorless flight. Our soaring activity has attracted people from around the world.
