WATKINS GLEN, NY (JANUARY 17, 2006) - Tickets for the Finger Lakes Wine Festival supported by The Corning Museum of Glass will be available starting this Saturday. Festival-goers will be able to purchase tickets beginning January 21, 2006 by calling 866-461-7223 or at The Shop located at 2 North Franklin Street in downtown Watkins Glen. Those who purchase tickets in advance will receive a discount from now until June 23rd.

The Finger Lakes Wine Festival supported by The Corning Museum of Glass will be taking place this summer July 14 -16 at Watkins Glen International, highlighting ten years of wine at The Glen. This three- day celebration kicks-off Friday night with the Yancey's Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes celebration and toga party, where the King and Queen of the 2006 festival will be crowned. The Great Western Chardonnay Champagne breakfast will toast to the festival on both Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, held at the track's exclusive Glen Club. The Friday night celebration and the breakfast are sold separately.

Saturday and Sunday you can sip, savor and purchase fine wines from over 70 New York State wineries, and thrill to the excitement of hot glass as master glassblowers from The Corning Museum of Glass transform molten glass into sparkling stemware or fanciful fish. The Festival features a variety of entertainment and an eclectic assortment of arts and crafts, live music, wine seminars, and cooking demonstrations. Camping on festival grounds and shuttle services to area hotels are also available.
