St. Thomas' Church Announces Inaugural Season of Concert Series

St. Thomas' Episcopal Church proudly announces the inaugural season of its new Concert Series. Four Sunday afternoon concerts have been planned for early 2006, to be held in the stately environs of historic St. Thomas', 122 Liberty Street in Bath, NY. Sundays at 4PM, music lovers from around the region will have the opportunity to enjoy the finest in live concert music. Each program will include hospitality in the Great Hall during intermission or following the concert.

The 2006 Season will feature the following events:
January 22, 2006-Madrigalia, Rochester's premier chamber choral ensemble since 1975, has sung throughout the region as well as on tour. This 18- member chorus has been heard frequently on public radio and has produced four recordings. February 12, 2006-A Tribute in Song to Paul Robeson, A special free concert celebrating Black History Month. Bass-baritone Kenneth Anderson will honor the legendary singer-actor Paul Robeson and his devotion to the Negro Spiritual.

April 30, 2006-Sweet, Fair & Wise, innovative chamber music featuring Flutist Jill Rubio, guitarist Doug Rubio, and tenor Carl Johengen in music ranging from Bach to Manuel da Falla.

June 4, 2006-Duane Prill, organist has performed internationally. He serves as organist at Asbury First United Methodist Church in Rochester, vice-president of the American Institute of Organbuilders, and is the Tonal Director of Parsons Pipe Organ Builders in Canandaigua.
