The nine wineries of Keuka Lake will once again usher in the summer season with a culinary event called "Barbecue at the Wineries". Each winery has picked a special barbecue sauce or marinade to feature with a recipe, and each sauce in New York State!! The event will be held at the wineries on Saturday, June 25 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, June 26 from Noon until 5pm. (Eastside wineries open at 11am on Sundays.)

A gorgeous summer drive around brilliant blue Keuka Lake is emphasized by stops at Barrington Cellars for Dinosaur BBQ (not your Momma's meatloaf), Keuka Spring Vineyards for chicken drumsticks with Anchor Bar sauce and chilled watermelon and Heron Hill's BBQ Beef on a Bun featuring Chef Lerman's New BBQ Sauce. Continue on to Rooster Hill Vineyards, Keuka Overlook Wine Cellars, McGregor Vineyard Winery, Chateau Renaissance Wine Cellars, Dr. Frank's Vinifera Wine Cellars, and Hunt Country Vineyards and treat your palette to more outstanding wine and food combinations. Those on the tour will also receive a complimentary 20th anniversary wineglass and a Keuka Lake Wine Trail potholder.

Each winery will pair a recent vintage with their barbecue dish, to demonstrate how well barbecued foods and wine go together. Wineries will offer samples of their other wines and will have their gift shops packed with summer gift ideas.

Event tickets are $16.00 per person prior to June 18, 2005. Limited tickets may be available the day of the event (for $20.00), however, purchasing tickets in advance is strongly encouraged.
