Soaring Through the 20th Century by Paul A. Schweizer Now Available
In Soaring Through the 20th Century, readers are treated to a personal and insightful memoir about Paul's more than 70 years as a sailplane visionary. As one of the founders of Schweizer Aircraft Company, Paul's story is a part of local history, but his chronicle also spans the globe as he describes his experiences in soaring contests worldwide.
The book documents soaring history throughout the last century, introducing us to glider pioneers such as Wolf Hirth, Warren E. Eaton, Ralph Barnaby and many more. Paul chronicles the creation and growth of the Soaring Society of America and the National Soaring Museum, as well as the development of Schweizer's many successful sailplane designs.
Paul A. Schweizer is the author of two previous books on soaring: Wings of Eagles and Sailplanes by Schweizer.
