Julia and Emily Buskin Perform
Julia and Emily Buskin have very generously agreed to appear performance
with the Orchestra of the Southern Finger Lakes to perform Brahms'
Concerto for Violin, Cello, and Orchestra. The sisters, originally from
Massachuesets, make up two of the three members of the Claremont Trio,
which won the first ever Kalichstein-Larefo-Robinson Trio Award in 2003.
Two years earlier the group became the only piano trio in history to win
the Young Concert Artists (YCA) International Auditions. Also recipients
of the Harvard Musical Association's Arthur W. Foote Award and YCA's
Helen F. Whitaker Chamber Music Chair, the trio has been described by New
York Concert Review as "an exhilarating, polished team."
