Joshua Sperling's large paintings push pattern and color to the limit and create bold optic experiences. In both his paintings and his smaller works his use of transformations within the structure of pattern are meditative studies of "what you see is what you get." Jeremy Holmes three dimensional works in wood have a gravity defying fluidity. The gestural quality of Holmes' ribbon-like creations calls attention to the space occupied by the work. Holmes works in a variety of scales and creates both interior and exterior installations.
