Usher in the summer season with a visit to beautiful Keuka Lake for some terrific foods and wines at eight outstanding wineries. At our very popular Barbecue at the Wineries, each winery features its own barbecue dish with a special sauce, marinade or rub, all made in New York State. We'll throw open our windows, decks and porches for you to savor the warmth and beauty of the area and discover a myraid of possibilities for barbecue and wine.
Each summer, the Rockwell Museum of Western Art hosts a three-part Music, Margaritas & Sunsets on the Terrace series. The event is free to Museum members and $10 for not-yet-members. Space is limited - Reservations are required by 5 p.m. the day before. Featuring the music of Virgil Cain!
Keeping with the concept of 100% Finger Lakes food and wine, Finger Lakes Restaurant Week presented by Finger Lakes Wine Country will be returning June 19-30th to, once again, offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience within the Finger Lakes region. Expanded to include a vegetarian option as well as a larger variety of Finger Lakes wine, beer and spirits, Finger Lakes Restaurant week will "challenge" chefs to create a two course a la carte lunch menu as well as a three course prix fixe dinner menu. Menus for both lunch and dinner will be priced between $15 -$50 per person, plus tax and gratuity. In addition, many restaurants will offer a beverage pairing.
Our most popular program - such a Feast for the Senses! The fine art of wine tasting co-mingled with an appetizer of glacial geology, gorge hike and Finger Lake cruise. The entrée -- the amazing 3500-year history of glass from the famous Corning Museum of Glass, with its Hot Glass Show and InnovationCenter. Side dishes include walking tours of local architecture and award-winning historic preservation, amazing museum of aviation and a presentation on Iroquois culture. Dessert is a visit to the study where Mark Twain wrote his most famous novels and a special feature all about the glassmaker, Frederick Carder, founder of Steuben Glass in 1903. Revel in the quality and diversity of historic sites and the natural beauty of our region. P.S. Don't forget your corkscrew! ($694 double occupancy / +$110 single occupancy / $544 no accommodations)
The Gallery at The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes (The ARTS Council) presents All Fired Up, an exhibit showcasing works of art in media created with fire. The exhibit features work by member artists and includes an installation in The ARTS Council's front window, titled Into the Crystal Cave. Into the Crystal Cave, by glass artists Ross Delano, Chris Giordano and Dane Jack, is fabricated with hand sculpted glass stalactites, stalagmites, snotties and clusters. The unique installation transforms the space into a tranquil crystal cave.
