Fresh, local, and sustainable! Some of the farmers in Corning & the Finger Lakes have been practicing sustainable farming for decades, long before it was trendy to do so and even longer before it became popular to tell everyone you were. Enjoying fresh and local foods can be healthier and it can enhance your dining experience.
Enjoy mouth-watering food and breathtaking views at a winery restaurant or a relaxing lakeside meal along beautiful Keuka Lake. There are old-school ice cream parlors and cider mills and you-pick berry farms where you can sink your teeth into fresh-picked goodness. There are farm stands on scenic country roads and wonderful farmers' markets and restaurants that serve locally grown and locally raised foods. There are an assortment of ethnic cuisines and restaurants as laid back or as upscale as you'd like. There's even a chocolate trail. And the one thing that connects them all is great food.

Technically, wine is considered food, too, which is a good thing because this is the second largest wine region in the country. Not only are there over 100 wineries in the Finger Lakes, but some of the best are located in or around the charming village of Hammondsport. The deep slender lakes, like Keuka Lake, not only make the area scenic, but they also play a part in extending the growing season. This allows our winemakers to produce wines that have been winning awards all over the world. Of course, if you're a beer-lover at heart, don't worry. We have a few brewing companies, too, including one that's located along the wine trail and another that's also an excellent restaurant.
