New York State Brewery of the Year
In 2008, Keuka Brewing Company saw an opportunity and jumped, becoming the first microbrewery on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail. In addition to setting trends, they also brew some damn fine beer. But don't take our word for it. Keuka Brewing was named New York State's "Best Craft Brewery" at the 2014 TAP New York Craft Beer and Food Festival.
What Area Restaurants Know
When you walk into the large tasting room at Finger Lakes Beer Company you'll see a dozen names on a big chalkboard listing off some of the restaurants in the region that serve their beer. With a rotation of eight brews, including the popular Copperline Ale, there seems to be a collective agreement - FLBC is doing something right.
Some Things Just Go Together
As a successful restaurateur, Phelham McLellan has long known a way to a person's heart is through their taste buds. Nearly twenty years ago, he also realized that fresh brewed beer was the perfect compliment to great food, providing his guests an experience based on great taste. It's no surprise Market Street Brewing has been a cornerstone in Corning's Historic District ever since.
Brew With a View
Brewer Chad Zimar and his family aren't satisfied with the same old same old. So they built Steuben Brewing Company overlooking beautiful Keuka Lake with outdoor seating offering breathtaking views to go along with their excellent brews. Chad is always looking for new ways to craft beer. In addition to his signature brews, you'll find him crafting small batches of wonderful experimental beers.
Worth The Wait
Owners Douglas and Shelly have been chasing this dream for most of their lives, but they've finally made it. For them, crafting excellent brews is a way of expression. For Douglas it offers a creative balance to his background in engineering. For Shelly beer is about community. It's about sharing stories, and making new friends, and enjoying great beer together at The Brewery of Broken Dreams.
A Nod to the Past With An Eye to the Future
Two young beer lovers decided to bring back a little history to their hometown by opening up Railhead Brewing Company. From the moment they opened, Railhead has been creating a buzz in Hornell and beyond, becoming an instant favorite spot of locals and visitors due to their tasty beer, creative pizzas, and fun atmosphere.
Friendship and a Sense of Humor Lead to Corning's Next Brewery Experience
Want to discover where the name, The Iron Flamingo, comes from? Stop by and ask the owners of Corning's newest brewery. Using a 15-barrel system, IF is serious about making great beers and they're focusing, right now, on four full-flavored styles so they can keep the quality up. Stop by and find out why the locals love them.
A Return to Their Roots
Creative. Talented. Inspired. Oh yeah, and fun. These words might be used to describe ciderist Kevin Collins from Cider Creek Hard Cider. Ever since he shared his homebrewed ciders with some folks in the Boston area, Cider Creek has been gaining more and more fans. And now he's returned home intent on taking Cider Creek to a whole other level.
A Toast to Good Times, A Toast to Home
While the name, Four Fights, reflects a tireless dedication to crafting and bottling quality liquor, it also hints at the playful spirit of the people behind Corning's oldest distillery. The folks at Four Fights aim to put "America's Most Fun Small Town" (Rand McNally) on the craft beverage map by creating "fine, honest liquor to be poured and enjoyed by many." What better place to start, than their own hometown?
