Home - About Steuben County - Steuben County CVB Staff

The Steuben County Conference & Visitors Bureau was established in 1994. As Steuben County's official tourism marketing agency, our mission is to aggressively promote the visitor industry year-round and thereby stimulate economic growth.

Board of Directors

SCCVB Staff:

Peggy ColemanPeggy Coleman – President

Peggy has been with the SCCVB for the past decade and has been in the travel & tourism industry for over 25 years, a career she began as a program director at a children's summer camp in the Adirondacks. In her spare time, Peggy practices tricks with her lasso, rides a motorcycle, and is a champion croquet player. She doesn't, however, attempt to do these things at the same time.

Favorite quote:
"Do one thing every day that scares you." – Eleanor Roosevelt

Danielle RomanDanielle Roman – Director of Marketing & Sales

Before finding her way to the SCCVB in 2004, Danielle was a math/physics major in college. She claims math people are the coolest form of cool. Danielle lived in Italy for 3 years and her passion for travel fits well with her position as resident on-the-road personality. Most people might not realize it, but Danielle once auditioned for the NYC Opera. If there'd only been American Idol back then.

Favorite quotes:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."
"Don't give up...don't ever give up" – Jimmy V

Kim PriceKim Price - Communications Manager

After graduating from the College at Brockport in January, spending her last semester in Italy, Kim found her way to the SCCVB in June. Kim has written for the Star-Gazette, The Leader, and Life in the Finger Lakes magazine, where she developed a love for tourism in the Finger Lakes. Most people are surprised to realize Kim knows just about everything there is to know about glass. When she worked as an "Explainer" at The Corning Museum of Glass, she was lovingly referred to as the "Glass Goddess."

Favorite quote:
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." -Eleanor Roosevelt

Erin Cassidy

Erin Cassidy – eMarketing Manager

Erin is the resident geek at the CVB. She's been working in a digital web-based world for over fourteen years. In addition to Tweeting and Facebooking and Four-Squaring (and all sorts of other newfangled verbs), Erin's got a gift for belting. Songs that is! And she's part of the barbershop quartet called Affinity and the barbershop chorus called Crystal Chords. If you stop by the office and ask, she, Peggy and Danielle might even sing something for you.

Favorite quotes:
"What you call insanity, I call inspiration." - Sue Sylvester
"The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." - ee cummings

Carol KeoughCarol Keough – Administrative Coordinator

After working in the world of banking for 26 years, Carol has spent the past nine years with the SCCVB. In addition to all the duties she performs here, Carol also finds time to be a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother of four. You might not know it to look at her, but among her many hobbies, such as reading and doing crafts, Carol enjoys participating in watermelon seed-spitting contests which is why you might see the rest of us wearing goggles around the office from time to time.

Favorite quote:
"Always try to do your best."

Kevin PetersonKevin Peterson - Sales/Office Assistant

With more than 16 years' experience in sales and retail management, Kevin joined the SCCVB team in September. A self-proclaimed "serial entrepreneur," he has been involved in several business organizations and owns two businesses of his own. You might be surprised to discover Kevin spends his spare time raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association, and enjoys painting and sculpting.

"If you dream it, you can do it." – Walt Disney
"Common sense is genius dressed in its working clothes." – Ralph Waldo Emerson
